2. What we collect

When you sign up on this website, we store only:

• your email address;
• which form on the page you used;
• the date and time you signed up.

After signing up, you may choose to answer a few optional questions. If you do, we also store the answers you give: which describes you, your product's URL, what you are building, your team size, where you are with Japan, your question about Japan, and the date and time you answered. You can skip any or all of these questions.

When you use our contact form, we store your name, email address, company, your product's URL if you give it, what you would like help with, your message, and the date and time you sent it.

When you book a Japan Quick Check or Japan Readiness Report, you pay on a checkout page run by Stripe. Your card or bank details are entered there and never reach us. Stripe shares with us your name, email address, billing details, what you bought and any comment you add at checkout. We then receive your questionnaire answers by email, and, for the Readiness Report, any test account details you choose to give us by email.

We do not store your IP address. Our server reads it briefly in memory to block abusive repeat submissions, and discards it. This website uses no tracking cookies and no analytics.

3. How we use your information

We use your email address only to send you our guide, "Is Japan Your Next Market?", and related information about JapanReady's services, including our Japanese launch directory and our service menu.

We use your optional answers only to understand your product and tailor our guide, advice and services to you. When you sign up or answer the questions, we send ourselves an internal email notification containing that information.

We use contact-form messages only to answer you. When you send one, we send ourselves an internal email notification containing it, and we send you a confirmation email.

We use order details, questionnaire answers and test account details only to deliver what you ordered, to keep records of the order, and to answer your questions about it.

We do not sell, rent or share your email address, answers, messages or order details with anyone for their own marketing.

4. Legal basis

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process your email address on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and you may withdraw it at any time. Where Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) applies, we use your personal information only for the purposes stated above. 5. Who processes your data for us

These providers process data only on our instructions.
